    Essaouira

"Fishing port, beach waves, and tranquil vibes"

Essaouira is a small city about two hours from Marrakech. Sitting on the coast of Morocco, Essaouira is a great place to relax for a while and escape the busyness of Marrakech. The culture is much more laid back, there’s plenty of great food choices, and the hand made works are truly exquisite.

Essaouira was a vey enjoyable and relaxing place to visit at the end of our trip. The beach is large and uncrowded, and the locals were very friendly. Many artists can be found in their shops working on their craft and welcome visitors to watch the creation process.

The general cost of living in Essaouira is less than bigger cities like Marrakech. It’s a great city for budget travel as well as a nice place to splurge without breaking the bank.

We’d return to Essaouira and recommend visiting during your Morocco trip!
